We measure thermal conductivity of SiN thin suspended membranes and demonstrate Surface Phonon Polariton contribution being of the same order of magnitude as phonon thermal conductivity.

We detect thermally excited surfaces waves on a submicron SiO2 layer, including Zenneck and guided modes in addition to Surface Phonon Polaritons. We demonstrate a source of broadband coherent thermal emission by using nanostructured interfaces.

We analyze the energy transport of surface phonon polaritons propagating in a chain of spheroidal polar nanoparticles. We develop a theoretical model to quantify the energy transport of SPhPs propagating along these nanostructures.

We analyze Surface Phonon Polariton propagation and focusing with conical and wedge dielectric structures. We develop explicit expressions for the dispersion relations in each structure and provide detailed analysis for glass-air geometries.

We develop a formalism and derive explicit expressions for the reflectivity and transmissivity of Surface Phonon Polaritons generated at the dielectric interfaces.
